About Us

I’m Clare, founder and restorer at The Handbag Restoration Company. I restore luxury handbags from brands such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Mulberry – and that is to name a few!

With a lifelong passion for creating and designing, I completed my fashion degree at Northumbria University in 2011. After training as a tailoress, I wanted to harness my skills, so started to specialise in restorative work for luxury goods.

Every handbag and purse that crosses THRC HQ is completed with love and care. I adore taking pieces from being unfit for purpose to as good as new and have a specialism in restoring animal chewed or eaten goods. I’m a one woman team, completing all aspects of every restoration or repair in house by hand. I also undertake many bespoke orders to allow multi use handbag wearing and to provide additional comfort when wearing.
